In 1967, after a longstanding relationship with St Andrews, the University of Dundee came into formal existence. From then, Dundee was free to develop in its own way and become the outstanding institution it is today.

There are four accommodation sites on or close to city campus - Heathfield, Belmont, Seabraes and West Park. All student accommodation at the University of Dundee comprises of single occupancy bedrooms, with en-suite shower and toilet, in self-contained flats of five to ten students.
Each flat has its own kitchen, dining and living space with access to the University’s fast Wi-Fi.
The Student Support Team are available to offer advice and support to students, helping to ensure the best possible student residential experience.Dundee’s Library and Learning Centre (LLC) comprises of four library sites as well as a virtual library. Located on city campus, Dundee’s main library offers everything you would expect from a modern university library, including a café and relaxation areas, group study rooms with the latest technology, and flexible, creative spaces.
The University has more than 750 computers for students to use on campus across its libraries, study zones and dedicated IT suites. Wi-Fi is also available throughout campus and student residences enabling students to connect to the network using their own devices.
IT support is provided by the University Service Desk and is available to students seven days a week.
The University Health Service is available on campus and offers a range of health-related advice and services for students. These include a counselling service, sexual health clinics and advice on how to register with a doctor and dentist upon arrival in Dundee.
The University of Dundee has three campuses – City, Ninewells and Kirkcaldy. With the majority of student accommodation on or close to campus, classes are never too far away.
Facilities available on city campus include Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA), the Institute of Sports and Exercise (ISE) and the Global Room, a social space that hosts events throughout the year celebrating traditions from around the world.
City campus is in the heart of Dundee with the best shops, cafés, restaurants and bars within walking distance. There are also museums, art galleries, theatres, sports centres and beautiful green spaces close by.
The Institute of Sport and Exercise (ISE) offers a wide range of sports and exercise with facilities including a gym, exercise studio, squash courts, 25m swimming pool, sauna, sports fields and tennis courts.
ISE works closely with Dundee University Sports Union, offering more than 40 sports clubs, ranging from traditional sports like netball and golf to skydiving and Ultimate Frisbee.
Located on the city campus, Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA) offers facilities including bars, cafés, a nightclub and a convenience store.
DUSA also supports over 250 student societies, bringing together groups of students who all share the same interest. With the broad range of societies, students can keep up with a current hobby or try something completely different.
