Overview

Discover the foundations of legal knowledge in the Common Law legal tradition as well as Scots Law and develop key transferable skills when you study the 4 year Dual Qualifying LLB. You then have total flexibility to proceed towards qualifying to practise Law in Scotland, England and Wales, or Northern Ireland, as well as many other common law jurisdictions, including Canada and Nigeria. The Law (Scots and English Dual Qualifying) (Hons) from University of Dundee graduates are also well placed for a wide variety of other careers, and you will have careers sessions embedded in your course.

The university has close links with employers and they offer programmes to support and develop your employability.

We run an annual Law Fair which attracts law firms and employers from around the UK and further afield. Law firms also regularly visit the law school on an individual basis for recruitment purposes.

This course is fully accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority for England and Wales, the Bar Council and the Law Society of Northern Ireland. When you graduate you will have full flexibility in deciding where to complete your legal training.
