Overview

The Incorporated Bachelor Stage One in BEng (Hons) Civil and Structural Engineering from University of Dundee International College gives you a broad overview of core civil engineering topics. For example, you'll study geomechanics, structural analysis, surveying, materials, and fluid mechanics. Using this knowledge, you'll explore your creativity by developing innovative designs and structures.

Key facts

You'll also learn about key issues for practicing civil engineers, such as health and safety, and management. Many of your projects will involve working with others. You'll have an opportunity to develop communication and team working skills.

You'll regularly go on trips, site visits, and other installations which gives you a valuable insight into industry as well as practical experience. There are also opportunities for vocational and industrial placements throughout your degree.

We are the only Scottish university taking part in the CMS Collaboration, a major experiment at the Large Hadron Collider CERN.

Your Pathways

The IS1 is the first year of a four year International Incorporated Bachelors. And its designed to strengthen your English language abilities and introduce core concepts and knowledge required at university study level.

Once you have successfully completed your studies you will continue the remaining stages of your degree directly with the University of your choice.

Funding

Students at the International College may be considered for a number of Scholarships that are part of the University of Dundee Scholarship offerings, such as the Global Citizenship Scholarship which awards students up to £5,000 per year of study.

Another award is the ICD Progressing with Excellence Scholarship which recognises academic achievement while studying at the International College and awards up to £6,000 per year of study.

Oxford International offers a number of scholarship opportunities for students applying for an academic course under the Core Scholarship.
