Student services

  • The international development centre team is here to help all prospective and current international students before and during their studies at the university.

Housing services

Whether you want to live in halls of residence, in private housing or in lodgings, the accommodation team provides a wide range of student accommodation to suit your needs.

Our Housing Support Team is here to offer help throughout your time at university with any issues concerning your private rented housing. From contract checking to mediating between landlords and students, you can always contact the team with any question you may have.

Athough there are several letting agents and landlords in Cheltenham and Gloucester, we always encourage students to use the approved list on Studentpad first.

However, if you do go through other sources, remember to check through the housing essentials.

Library services

  • Each campus has its own library with a dedicated customer service team and subject specialists.
  • Our extensive resources support first year undergraduates through to PhD students.
  • Late night opening and 24/7 access to the virtual library
  • Open access computers and course related learning
  • The library is not just for students

ICT services

  • Over 500 open access computers and free Wi-Fi is provided at our three campuses. You can wirelessly print in our libraries too. Extensive photocopying facilities are provided within each library.

Student Life

Campus life

Our campuses are changing. We're making major improvements to benefit students, business partners and staff.

Over the past few years we have invested in a number of new buildings and facilities, including our Media Centre, our Fashion Mezzanine, and our Strength and Conditioning Suite. We’ve also got a lot planned for the coming year, including a new computing suite and our new Performing Arts and Events Centre.

We've also got plans in the pipeline for a student village near to our Cheltenham campuses.

Sports facilities

  • We offer an array of opportunities for you to get involved with outside your learning. With over 80 activities to choose from, you will discover new opportunities and passions, make life-long friends, and develop new skills for your CV which will help you when you graduate.

  • Run by students, for students, the SU aims to improve university experiences and make student life exceptionally fun! As a university student, you will automatically become a member. Social highlights include Freshers' Week, the summer ball, and student media (Tone Radio and Space newspaper). You can also get paid or voluntary work, gaining new skills and strengthening your CV. There are also lots of opportunities to get involved in community work and projects so you can give something back.
