Overview
Through this Architecture (Hons) course from University of Gloucestershire you’ll receive first-hand, industry knowledge, giving you insight into the latest advancements in digital and environmental design.
We have a small staff-to-student ratio and a student-centred approach. You’ll be part of a group dedicated to analysing, designing and visualising the built environment. You’ll have individualised attention from your teachers and support from your peers, and together we’ll develop your confidence and raise your voice.
You’ll have access to a dedicated studio space and workshop, with 3D printers, laser cutters, VR headsets and other facilities – and all with the guidance of our fabrication and software specialists.
With an active student body and close industry links, you’ll have the chance to attend competitions, field trips, talks and more. You’ll have opportunities to network and showcase your unique visions for the twenty-first-century world.
Career opportunities:
An architectural education is extremely rich and versatile, so graduates from the course are not limited to practising as architects.
An architectural degree can be the gateway to other built-environment careers, such as architectural technologist, landscape architect, project manager, urban designer and urban planner. Architectural graduates can also transition to other design-based professions, including interior design, graphic design, product design and set design. Finally, architectural graduates can pursue careers in academia, in which they can teach and research about the built environment.
