Housing services

The Students’ Union keep a fully up-to-date listing of all type of accommodation including apartment complexes, private houses and family digs.

An abundance of close, convenient, well cared-for accommodation within Athlone, makes house-hunting easy for new and current students.

Choose from purpose-built student-apartment blocks; a traditional house in the private sector; or a house-share. Maybe you’ll opt for “digs” — living as part of a local family who provide your main meals — to smooth the transition from home-life to full independent living. Families offering digs are also coordinated through the SU.

Library services

Library spaces are open and we welcome students and staff on campus.

ICT services

Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain secure internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their laptop or mobile device.

Medical services

The Student Health Service provides professional, confidential and courteous medical care to all registered students and apprentices of the University by appointment Monday-Friday during the academic year.
