In 1918,An-Najah was established as a primary school- An-Najah Nabulsi School- educating students from Palestine and abroad.

Maintaining this goal over the past thirty-six years, An-Najah has ?been an integral part in enhancing the capacity of local, regional and international markets.


Through emphasizing applied research in areas that consider national and regional economic and social priorities, the deanship of scientific research provides our staff and offices with ?the needed help to establish strong foundations of various aspects of scientific research ?using the available natural resources.

The An-Najah Libraries offer approximately 435,488 volumes in several languages. The Libraries also subscribe to 28,000 electronic and printed periodicals and peer-reviewed journals; furthermore, the libraries subscribe to more than 63 online databases.

In addition to the servers, computer banks and other hardware and software that the Computer Center supplies to the University, the Center provides expertise and knowledge that ensures that our students, researchers, administrators and academics are able to fulfill the University's mission in pursuing higher education.

Medical services

An-Najah National University Hospital aims at providing healthcare services that is commensurate to international standards as well as remedy endemic problems within the Palestinian medical system.

Sports facilities

The University Sports Complex, inaugurated on November 22, 2008 by President Mahmoud Abbas, is one of the most advanced sports facilities in Palestine. The Complex provides both excellent training facilities for students of the Physical Education Department, and recreational opportunities for students wishing to participate in a variety of fitness and athletic activities.
