Overview
The Public Relations and Communication program of the An-Najah National University aims to prepare graduates to be professionals in public relations. These graduates use the new means of communication so they fit right to the needs of the job market.
Industry
The Public Relations program offers many courses in which it prepare the students and the graduate to get hand on experience that would be applied upon their graduation. This practical experience teaches the students how to communicate, and institutionalize the relationship between organizations, and understand the public opinion in political and economical aspects, to the best interest of society and individuals.
Teaching and Learning
The students of this program are expected to understand the theories and principles, laws and ethics, inside and outside the organization, work activities, and provide additional services to the community, to enrich knowledge, creativity and maintain renewable independent thought in the field. More over they are expected to conduct scientific research, evaluate data with technology and suitable tools used in the public relations studies, write clearly, to the point, for different media and audiences, using professional standards. And finally apply the principles and concepts which relate to statistics and numbers.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this program are professional in using technology in communication, and using their knowledge in marketplace environment. They are committed to work ethics, competitive in a regional level, able to conduct public relations research that identify the community's priorities and attitudes and contribute to institutional development.
The role is very varied and will depend on the organization and sector. PR practitioners are expected to work in-house originating and implementing a PR program exclusively for a company as part of a consultancy, providing an independent service to several clients.

General requirements
For students who would like to undertake a course (one subject) or an Academic semester (several courses during one academic semester) the procedure is as following:
- Browse the academic programs which are offered, read carefully the courses which are intended,
- Please note that An-Najah University is not responsible for credit transferee to your national academic system. Thus you should transfer these in advance at your home institution.
- Once your selection is clear, you can contact the international relations office in order to process your application inside the university.
- Once you receive the admission confirmation letter you can start obtaining the visa and travel documents, and come to An-Najah.
- After finishing your study, you will be provided by certification documents in English language only, assigned with course/courses description that are needed to support your admission and credit transfer at your home institution.
