Overview

The Building Engineering program of the An-Najah National University is focused on preparing students in the design, engineering, and construction of building projects.

The most important difference between Building Engineering and other engineering disciplines (e.g. Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering), is the multi-disciplined approach to solving building engineering problems. This is because Building Engineers have some fundamental training and appreciation of architecture in addition to their ability to integrate building systems in the overall building design. Building Engineers are able to design building systems such as:

Structural and construction systems.

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).

Passive Solar systems

Plumbing.

Fire Protection systems.

Electrical and lighting systems.

Vertical transportation systems.

Career Opportunities

Our graduates work at different places and institutions. The fields of work in which our graduates participate include: Structural Engineering, Green Building Design, HVAC System Design, Lighting Design in Buildings, and Construction Management. We keep contact with the industry in direct and indirect ways to get feedback about the needs of the industry and the desired quality of our graduates.

For students who would like to undertake a course (one subject) or an Academic semester ‎‎(several courses during one academic semester) the procedure is as following:‎

Please note that An-Najah University is not responsible for credit transferee to your ‎national academic system. Thus you should ‎transfer these in advance at your home institution.

Once your selection is clear, you can contact the international relations office in order to ‎process your application inside the university. ‎

Once you receive the admission confirmation letter you can start obtaining the visa and ‎travel documents, and come to An-Najah.‎

After finishing your study, you will be provided by certification documents in English ‎language only, assigned with course/courses description that are needed to support ‎your admission and credit transfer at your home institution.
