When the cornerstone was laid for Siena Hall on June 20, 1938, Fr. Plassmann announced that the fledgling institution would be known as St. Bernardine of Siena College in honor of the noted fifteenth-century Franciscan preacher and missionary. Siena Hall hosted classrooms and laboratories, faculty and administrative offices, a library, a bookstore, a cafeteria and a chapel.
Siena’s undergraduate majors, minors and certificate programs open up a world of learning possibilities and career paths—whether you’re a biochemistry major who loves Shakespeare, a business major with a flair for French or a history student destined to become CEO of a Fortune 500 company.
Siena College values classroom learning and high-impact, hands-on learning. That’s why we established our Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (CURCA).
Professional career counselors are available year round to work with each student. We strongly encourage students to meet with a counselor in their first year. This allows our counselors to provide dynamic, professional development assistance that is tailored specifically to the student’s interests, strengths and long-term goals. As the student progresses academically, counselors can adjust strategies and resources to meet developing needs and aspirations.
The Global Student Satisfaction Awards empower students across the globe to determine the best universities of 2019. By rating institutions on a scale from 1 to 5, on multiple studies-related questions, we found the top educators in the world.
