The Onsi Sawiris Scholarship is a private merit-based scholarship program established in 2000 by Orascom Construction as part of the company’s commitment to promoting excellence and achievement. Orascom Construction launched the Onsi Sawiris Program to invest company resources in educational programs to improve the communities in which it operates.
Through the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program, Orascom Construction provides fully funded scholarships for Egyptian students to pursue bachelor’s degree programs and master's degree programs at prestigious universities in the U.S. in fields that will promote the economic prosperity of Egypt.
Since 2000, the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program has financed the educational dreams of 96 extraordinary students. Through the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship program, Orascom Construction provides full tuition scholarships for Egyptian students seeking to pursue their Degrees at prestigious universities in the United States with the aim of bolstering Egypt’s economic competitiveness.
The scholarships include full tuition, living allowance, travel and health insurance.
Undergraduate applicants applying for the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program must meet the below minimum requirements:
To apply for the scholarship program, applicants must submit their application online and upload the following list of documents no later than the application deadline. Applications missing any of the required documents or test scores will be automatically disqualified and will not be considered in the scholarship screening phase.

Copy of test scores (SAT I or ACT) & TOEFL iBT ®, Taken within 2 years.
Copy of latest transcripts.
Copy of grade 12 certificate or Thanaweyya Amma certificate, if available. (Students completing their grade 11 by the time of application deadline (July 31, 2024) are only required to submit their latest transcripts).
Two recommendation letters.
