Overview

Highlights of being a major in the Spanish program of Siena College include: service-learning with local reading programs, pre-K schools and nonprofit organizations that serve local immigrant populations; class trips; travel courses to Mexico and Spain; film screenings; tertulias; and research opportunities. You'll learn to communicate in Spanish with confidence, interpret text, analyze cultural materials and gain a ton of knowledge about Spanish history and culture.

  • Send all transcripts and school results from each secondary school and post-secondary school that you have attended
  • Submit a personal essay of 1-2 pages describing your interest in Siena College and your goals for studying in the United States
  • Submit one letter of recommendation
  • The SAT and ACT are optional
  • Non-native English speakers are required to submit an English proficiency score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
