As a major in the Chemistry program of Siena College, expect to be hands-on with your education. In fact, it's not uncommon to start doing research using cutting edge, research-grade instruments as a freshman! You are likely to publish research alongside a faculty mentor and present at national, professional conferences. Through your coursework and research experiences, you'll develop the skills needed to success after graduation: critical thinking, effective communication, experience with advanced instrumentation, data analysis and technical writing.
