Student Life

Campus life

FSU's main campus is located in Fairmont, West Virginia, a friendly city of 19,000. The campus is home to the Frank and Jane Gabor West Virginia Folklife Center. FSU features a branch campus in Clarksburg, which is called the Gaston Caperton Center. You'll find our campus is currently experiencing a renaissance. In addition to our classic historical buildings such as the iconic Hardway Hall, you'll also see brand new academic buildings such as the Engineering Technology Building. Over the past few years, we've also added a new residence hall, student center, and parking garage. Our academic programs also continue to increase each year. We're building the future on a strong foundation.

Sports facilities

The Club Sports Program promotes participation in a wide variety of activities, complementing the University’s Intramural Sports Program and Varsity Athletic Program. Sport Teams participate in extramural collegiate games and practice with or without the support of a recognized coach. Club Sports are designed to help students develop leadership, financial, and organizational management skills through the opportunity to create, organize, and run their own club. The club itself will determine the length and type of game schedule to participate in, as well as the amount of scheduled, organized practices.
