The Art Education curriculum and experiences are designed to provide students with the highest level of professional education for the art teacher.It allows students to grow in their abilities as creative artists and scholars of the arts, and to play a major role in the cultural life of a school, college, and community.

Mission

The Art Department at Fairmont State University, as its mission, provides the understanding and application of skills, imagery, processes, techniques, and contextual information for the development and discussion of visual forms and concepts as they apply to working in the field of Studio Art and/or Art Education. Additionally, the Art Department aims to contribute to the cultural life of the community.

Submit official academic record(s)
Transcripts from outside the United States require an official course-by-course evaluation to be sent to Fairmont State University from one of the credentialing services listed below. Evaluations must include a statement of U.S. high school or college equivalency.
Applicant must submit proof of financial support for the first academic year of tuition and living expenses (must be in U.S. dollar format and translated to English).
Freshman applicants should submit their secondary school (high school) transcript. If you have completed college/university coursework you will need to submit all post-secondary transcript(s).
