The Acting programme at California State University Fullerton seeks students who exhibit exceptional talent, motivation, and commitment, and combines rigorous coursework with ample opportunity to apply their training into performance.

They celebrate student authenticity and help guide students towards their professional goals as an artist. They practice inclusivity, compassion, grit, and work ethic and embrace diversity, collaboration, and creativity.

Performance Opportunities

Production opportunities are a significant component of the BFA Acting curricular arc and an opportunity for students to apply their training to performance.

First year students will present a class project both semesters and are eligible to audition for the mainstage season second semester of the first year.

Second Year students will perform with their cohort in a Studio Series ensemble play directed by faculty or guest director.

Third- and Fourth-year students are eligible to audition for main stage productions.

First-year students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Be a high school graduate or equivalent.

Complete the 15-unit comprehensive “A-G” pattern with a grade of C- or better by high school graduation.

"A-G" requirement may not be completed during the summer term prior to fall enrollment.

Earn a competitive Multi Factor Admission Score (MFAS) as described below. Minimum MFAS will fluctuate each term based on the strength of the applicant pool.

Prepare application materials such as transcripts, test scores (AP/IB), current and planned courses, annual household income, citizenship status and social security number (if available).
