This is especially true for students who are the first in their families to pursue a college degree. Kisner Law is proud to support college students who are forging bold paths toward a brighter future.

Benefits

Their biannual Breaking New Ground Scholarship awards $1,500 each semester to a first-generation college student who exemplifies academic excellence, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and shares a passion for business, transportation, or liberal arts and sciences.

Eligibility

Before applying, students should make sure they meet the following qualifications. An applicant must:

  • Be a first-generation college student
  • Have a proven record of maintaining a job while in high school
  • Be committed to pursuing a degree at a two- or four-year college or university
  • Be at least 17 years of age
  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.

This scholarship is intended to award students who demonstrate excellence in the classroom, community, and on their campus. Applicants should be interested in pursuing a career in business, transportation, or liberal arts and sciences.
