If you want to apply for The Fathers’ Advocacy Scholarship, the scholarship selection committee asks you to complete a 500- to 1,000-word essay that shares a story about how you or someone you know experienced a challenge in family law related to fathers’ rights.

For example, if you or someone you know has experience with parental alienation, establishing paternity, child support deliberations, custody deliberations, and/or biased court procedures, you can write about those experiences in your essay.

The committee also wants you to reflect on what you learned from your experience with the family law circuit and how it shaped your understanding of fairness and/or justice. You should also propose at least one change in policy, law, social norms, or community action that could help ensure that fathers are treated more equitably in the family law circuit.
