Programme Structure

  • Students seeking the Bachelor of Liberal Studies in the Asian Studies and International Trade will select from a set of courses to form a coordinated plan of study. 
  • Requirements for this program include general education, core requirements, thematic studies, senior project and general electives. Students should seek guidance from their advisor every semester and follow the assigned degree plan.  A minor may be pursued with this degree through the submission of a completed minor application.

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

  • All students, both freshmen and transfer, must apply online for admission as an undergraduate student.
  • Pay the non-refundable undergraduate application fee of $50.
  • All international applicants must complete the Affidavit of Support Form which can be downloaded from our website.
  • All international transfer applicants must have their international documents evaluated by a US credentialing agency that holds membership with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. 
  • A TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE exam is required of all international students who are from countries where English is not their first language.  
  • All international students must submit a certification of finances document, which establishes the ability to pay for school and support the student while studying at the University.
  • Health records must be provided within 30 days of the first day of classes showing freedom from Tuberculosis.
