The Cecil C. Humphreys Presidential Scholarship is a competitive, merit-based award for high-achieving undergraduate students admitted to the University of Memphis. It is designed to recognize strong academic performance and provide significant financial support to students pursuing full-time, on-campus bachelor’s degree programs.

Benefits

Recipients of the Cecil C. Humphreys Presidential Scholarship receive a total award of up to $56,000, distributed as $14,000 per academic year, applied toward tuition while enrolled full-time in an on-campus undergraduate program at the University of Memphis. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, provided the student maintains the required academic standards, enrollment status, and good academic standing.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be first-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students admitted to the University of Memphis.
  • Eligibility is based on strong academic performance, including a minimum high school GPA of 3.25 or higher, along with qualifying ACT (31+) or SAT (1390+) scores.
  • Students must enroll full-time in on-campus bachelor’s degree programs and maintain good academic standing to retain the scholarship.
