Description

The Dean’s Scholarship is a merit-based award offered to academically strong undergraduate students admitted to the University of Memphis. It is designed to recognize consistent academic achievement and provide financial support to students enrolled full-time in on-campus bachelor’s degree programs.

Benefits

Recipients receive a total scholarship award of $40,000, distributed as $10,000 per academic year, applied toward tuition. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, contingent on maintaining eligibility and academic requirements.

Eligibility

  • Eligibility will be determined through review of your SOPHAS application. There is no need for an additional application. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and not guaranteed to each eligible application.
  • Students must be a first-year student with a GPA of 3.3 or above, enrolled in at least 9 credits, and have demonstrated academic excellence.

The University of Memphis selectively awards scholarships each year. All scholarships are awarded for the academic year (fall and spring semesters only). Scholarships are awarded based on information submitted on the UofM admissions application. For priority consideration, freshmen students should apply to the University of Memphis by Dec. 1.
