Key facts

The curriculum of the Nutrition and Food Science - Dietetics program from University of Maryland is designed to prepare graduates with the knowledge needed by an entry-level dietitian after a supervised practice component has been completed.

Our program welcomes and prepares students to become outstanding Registered Dietitians (RDs). This major also prepares students for medical and dental school, as well as graduate study in a variety of fields. Approximately 135 students are enrolled in the Dietetics major. Program outcomes data are available on request.

Our accomplished and diverse faculty contribute years of expertise to the Dietetics program. We are quite proud of our program. I hope you will find that Dietetics is the career for you.
