We have a team of professionally-trained counsellors on campus with whom you can talk confidentially with about problems of any kind.
Our counsellors are accustomed to helping people from different backgrounds and cultures and are experienced in dealing with a wide range of personal or study-related issues, from problems with stress, depression, alcohol and drugs to exam anxiety.
They also run regular workshops on topics such as positive thinking and stress management that help students make the most of university life.
Specialist support is also available for students with mental health needs.
Each of the universitys nine Schools is allocated an academic services librarian to give specialised advice via web pages, e-mails and meetings. Library and computing staff provide inductions and information/ computing skills workshops and help is available at any time at the library and computing help desks. Computer laboratory support staff are available to help during opening hours.
Networked PCs, printers and scanners are available in computer laboratories (conveniently situated in the same building as the libraries), with additional resources in other buildings on each campus. There is Internet access, e-mail and a wide range of general and specialist software.

The university continually invests in developing its three campuses. New buildings and improved resources include a teaching centre, multi-purpose sports hall, engineering research block, skills laboratories and libraries. Sports fans may be interested in our American football club, the Greenwich Mariners, which competes within the British Student American Football Association. We have cricket and basketball clubs, all of which have enjoyed success. The most popular team sports, such as football, rugby and netball, have multiple teams and compete against other universities in the British Universities Sports Association (BUSA).
Sports facilities across the campuses include pitches for football and rugby, courts for badminton and tennis and gyms to train in. Footballers at Avery Hill can use an artificial playing surface built by Charlton Athletic Football Club.
