Conduct your research in our decomposition and entomology facilities. Let us guide you through practical crime scenes and mass disaster scenarios or try out your Disaster Victim Identification skills in our mock mortuary. You'll be taught by industry experts with years of hands-on practical experience.

You'll work alongside experts from Kent Fire Brigade, the Metropolitan and Kent Police Services as well as Counter Terrorism, UKDVI and the Natural History Museum to put your learning into practice. This degree is accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences, and you'll receive free membership throughout your studies.

Your Pathways

The International Year Zero is the first year of the four year undergraduate course. IYZ is designed to help you gain extra skills in your subject area, as well as English Language, before you continue to year one of your chosen University undergraduate degree course.

Following successful completion of the IYZ, you will continue onto Year One of your degree directly with the University of your choice.

To join this course you will need to have successfully completed high school (5 GCSE Grades A – D) or equivalent and meet the English language requirements. We offer Pre-sessional English which is a 6 or 12-week extension course for those who may not yet meet the required English language standards for direct entry to our pathways.
