Overview

Some of the most rewarding and challenging careers in the domestic and international corporate community demand a background in finance. Students are introduced to a field that addresses the investment of assets and liabilities, commonly in terms of risk. Students also study the overall concept of finance through analysis of corporate finance, personal finance and public finance.

The Finance Major at Temple University prepares students for exciting and challenging careers in all areas of finance through its industry-oriented curriculum, a broad range of electives, access to industry-relevant software (e.g., Factset, CapIQ and Bloomberg) and valuable networking opportunities.

Through your studies, you’ll develop skills and experience in

portfolio management.

Future Career

As a Finance major, you are encouraged to become involved in the Financial Management Association and the Temple University Investment Association. These student organizations offer the opportunity for Finance majors to attend career development seminars, connect with Fox alumni, gain real-life experience in financial investment work, and meet business leaders in the finance industry.
