History
Temple University's history begins in 1884, when a young working man asked Russell Conwell if he could tutor him at night. A well-known Philadelphia minister, Conwell quickly said yes. It wasn't long before he was teaching several dozen students—working people who could only attend class at night but had a strong desire to make something of themselves.

Sports facilities
Recreational Sports activities have traditionally been among the most popular of the non-academic pursuits of college students. College life is more exciting and fulfilling when classroom learning is supplemented by a varied and productive array of leisure endeavors.
The primary goal of the Department of Campus Recreation is to provide the university community with quality-oriented leisure time opportunities in a safe environment. These sport-related activities may take many forms, such as intramurals, sport clubs, informal recreation, special events, aquatics, group fitness, adapted recreation or student staff development.

Class quality is dependent on the professor them selves but the university is very acomidationg in terms of recorded and services. It does however lack housing for students.
Good undergraduate time in Tokyo center.

I was studying in Temple's Japan campus, great diversity and learning experience. The university moved to a new campus during summer 2019 providing a good environment in Tokyo center.
