You can join NewsLink Indiana Sports, the sports arm of the student-run nightly newscast, as a reporter, anchor, producer, or more.

By the time your senior year in the Media - Sports Reporting program at Ball State University comes around, you’ll have a compelling portfolio that will allow you to enter careers in news or sports journalism in front or behind the camera. You will also be prepared for roles where strong skills in writing, research, critical thinking, and communication are valued.

Career

Many of the alumni of this program work in television, film, and radio, but you’ll also find them in technology companies, universities, professional sports organizations, governments and municipalities, and even agriculture. Some move West. Some move East. Many choose to stay close and help Indiana’s economy grow.
