A Health Promotion degree from Augusta University offers an experience like no other — one that allows you to help people live healthier lives without having to obtain a graduate degree. The Health Promotion-Corporate and Community Wellness program through the College of Education and Human Development’s Department of Kinesiology prepares students for a variety of pathways.

Overview

In the Health Promotion program, you’ll take science and nutrition classes and then move into courses built around your chosen concentration — health education and assessment classes for the Health Education concentration; exercise, physiology and strength training for the Corporate and Community Wellness concentration.

Two concentrations allow you to tailor your classes around the exact future you want to explore.

Individual attention from faculty makes sure you’re entering the workforce armed with a thorough understanding of the latest information and the most up to date training methods.

A research-oriented faculty and access to the latest lab equipment and diagnostic tools ensures you are receiving cutting-edge knowledge in addition to opportunities to participate in exciting kinesiology research.

Application Fee: (Non-refundable): The application fee may be waived for new freshman applicants who provide an approved ACT or SAT I Fee Waiver or NACAC Fee Waiver form.

Official Transcript(s): A freshman candidate should ask his or her guidance department to send an official copy of the secondary school record. A transfer candidate should ask the registrar from each college attended to send an official transcript of grades (a separate transcript from each college).

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the American College Testing Program (ACT) Scores: A freshman candidate is required to submit SAT scores of the College Board or the ACT score of the American College Testing Program.
