General requirements

Admission is based on a review of the high school record and official standardized test scores. The minimum requirements for assured admission are 3.0 Core GPA* on the 19 units of college-preparatory high school courses** as outlined in the LSU Core and a 1030 SAT.
Students must be eligible to enroll in university-level English and mathematics courses, as evidenced by a minimum SAT Critical Reading Score of 450.
Preference for admission to LSU will be given to those students whose credentials indicate the greatest promise of academic success and the greatest potential for contributing to the diverse missions of the university.
