Law and Policy Studies majors at Dickinson College focus specifically on how law is made, interpreted and applied. LAWP majors often go on to law school and end up practicing law in the private sector or working in government agencies.

Learning outcomes

Policy-management majors focus more generally on how policy problems arise and how they are best addressed. Some PMGT majors go on to law school, but after graduation, most begin working in government agencies, in the nonprofit sector or in a variety of private-sector career paths (e.g., policy consulting, wealth management, marketing, public relations).

The minimum requirement for entrance to Dickinson is the satisfactory completion of a secondary-school program of at least 16 units, including four units of English, two (preferably three) units of one foreign language, three units of natural science (at least two with labs), two units of social science and three units of college-preparatory mathematics.
