Students are also prepared to take either the NSCA’s certified strength and conditioning specialist exam (CSCS) or the ACSM’s Certified Exercise Physiologist (EC-P) exam. Passing one of these national exams can result in enhanced job opportunities. Students in the Exercise and Sport Science program at USC Upstate can qualify for the enhanced Life Scholarship ($2,500), an opportunity only available to students at two other schools in South Carolina.

  • The Office of Undergraduate Admissions must receive official documents (originals, not photocopies) that certify that the student will have sufficient funding to attend the University of South Carolina for one calendar year.
