The requirements for the B.A. were revised by the College of Arts and Sciences in 2013 (students who enrolled earlier may still follow the requirements in effect when they entered the university).

Our courses work together to ensure that history majors achieve all of these learning outcomes. The table of history course levels (PDF) outlines how courses at the various levels complement each other by providing students increasingly sophisticated instruction in historical skills and content.

You may satisfy the coursework requirements for the degree from a broad array of courses. One possibility is taking only the traditional on-campus courses. The Department of History was one of the first to offer an online B.A. in history, which has its own online Bachelor of Arts brochure.

No Credential Evaluations are required for undergraduate and graduate students admission for the following year
Freshman admission is competitive and based upon a comprehensive review of the student’s academic record. The primary factors include the high school/secondary grade point average and demonstrated English proficiency.

All students, both freshmen and transfer, must apply online for admission as an undergraduate student

Pay the non-refundable undergraduate application fee of $50

Applicants should upload a copy of their unofficial international transcript or marks sheet (high school/secondary or college/university) using our secure document upload system.

All international transfer applicants must have their international documents evaluated by a US credentialing agency that holds membership with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)
