We started out as a teacher training college in the 1960s in response to a national shortage of teachers.

Our University started out as a teacher training college in the 1960s in response to a national shortage of teachers. Today we continue to shape our courses and research around critical social issues both nationally and globally.

This is a team of advisers who provide support, advice and guidance on a wide range of personal, financial and academic matters. They are available by appointment or via a drop-in service at Augustine House, Canterbury and the Medway Campus.

Our libraries at Canterbury, Medway and Salomons Institute contain study spaces and modern facilities to suit different working styles, with access to books, print journals, e-journals, e-books through LibrarySearch. We’re here to help you navigate collections, identify the information you need and develop the skills to success in your studies.

ICT services

As a student at Christ Church Business School you will have access to first class facilities to help you with your studies. As a CCCU student you can obtain heavily discounted versions of the latest operating systems and Microsoft Office Software. You can also print from home or mobile devices using our innovative i-Print service, and can download powerful anti-virus software for free.

Campus life

We have a wide range of catering outlets that provide small snacks to full main meals. With a diverse range of options available, there is something to cater for everyones taste.

As a student you are entitled to reduced public transport costs and subsidised bus tickets.

There are a range of off-site car parking locations around the University campus.

At the University we have storage and charging lockers available for use by students.

Sports facilities

The University is the main sponsor of the Kent Women’s Cricket team and has partnerships with a range of local and regional clubs and organisations, including Polo Farm Sports Club in Canterbury where the University has invested to develop a new indoor sports centre and teaching space for our students and club members. This venue enhances our existing facilities which include our own city-based sports centre and gym, and the picturesque playing fields at Stodmarsh.

Getting involved in your Students’ Union is the key to making your student experience the best it can be.The easiest way to make friends and get involved at University is to have something in common, whether that’s musical taste, sharing a faith, a mutual love of art, or just a way of life.

Coming to University isn’t just about getting qualifications, it’s about having fun, and Societies are a great way to do this.

The Students' Union provide independent representation if you feel that you would be more comfortable talking to someone outside of the University.
