Student services
Our Student Welfare Team is here to help you with any questions you may have, or with any difficulties you may encounter. They’re very friendly and approachable, and will do their best to help.
Housing services
The majority of our accommodation is offered to first year students on our undergraduate degree courses and a certain number of rooms are allocated to foundation diploma students moving in from outside the area. We offer accommodation at either Carlton Hill or Liberty Park, alternatively some students go into shared housing.
Library services
The fabulous, state-of-the-art resources and libraries offer you the best possible opportunities for proving your talent and your potential. You’ll be able to produce work which meets or exceeds the demands of modern practice in art and design.
Medical services
The University would always recommend that students living in student accommodation whilst at college register with a doctor. The nearest one to the Blenheim Walk building is the Leeds Student Medical practice.
Campus life
- Leeds is wide-awake around the clock. There’s a huge range of live music in hundreds of venues around the city. Whether you’re into house, dub-step, indie, rock, hip hop, techno, funk, soul, folk, punk, jazz or classical, it’s all waiting for you here. The new Leeds Arena has recently opened and there is also the O2 Academy, the Wardrobe, Stylus, The HiFi Club, Nation of Shopkeepers, and more—including the charming Brudenell Social Club, recently voted Best Small Venue in the North East by NME.
Sports facilities
A healthy body leads to a healthy mind, and getting involved in our sports activities will help enrich your student experience by helping you get fit, making friends and having fun.
Our MOVE Fitness classes are open to all students, and offer a twice weekly calendar of classes to get involved in like yoga, Zumba, Pilates, boxercise or kettlebells. Students can purchase MOVE Membership online on the Students’ Union website, at any time during the year.
All fitness classes are held on-site at the University. Students can find out what’s happening through our website and noticeboards in University.
Student clubs
The Students' Union is the voice of our students across the College, the city and the nation. We are run by students, for students, to look after students’ interests.
The Students’ Union mission to help make sure every single student is represented throughout the College. Students in each course and programme elect their own Student Reps who provide a valuable link to College staff and management; enabling suggestions, opinions and the voice of students to be heard.
Each spring, we hold the Students’ Union Elections. Elected students from across the College make up the Students’ Union team, working together to improve the experience of student life here at College.
