Entertainment Technology & Design is the creative application of scientific and mathematical principles to the design, manufacture, and construction of structures, machines, processes, and live systems. Entertainment technology and design involves the application of traditional engineering disciplines including computer science, computer engineering, construction management and the fusion of electrical and mechanical systems to the art of entertainment.

Programme Structure

  • The Entertainment Engineering and Design program provides two academic paths for students who are interested in pursuing the interdisciplinary fusion of engineering and the fine arts that will allow them to succeed in the entertainment industry. 
  • The Entertainment Technology & Design degree spans the disciplines of automation, structural design and rigging, entertainment venue design and entertainment sound design.

Freshman applicants are admissible with either a 3.0 core GPA (calculated based on English, math, social science, and natural science) from the high school transcript, a 1120 SAT score, a 22 ACT composite score, or a Nevada Advanced High School Diploma.
