Overview

The Computer Science programme from The University of Texas at Arlington will give you fundamental knowledge and practical skills in the design of computer-based systems and in leadership for a changing profession and world.

They will also apply the knowledge and skills gained in the classroom in real-world settings through internships or co-ops and course projects, including the capstone project.

General requirements

All entering students majoring in this program are permitted to enroll in general education and pre-professional courses for which they are qualified. Students completing pre-professional courses must meet the academic requirements specified by the College of Engineering prior to applying for admission to the professional program.

The Computer Science and Engineering Department requires a 2.5 overall grade point average on a 4.0 scale in each of three categories: (1) overall, (2) required science, mathematics, and engineering courses, and (3) required CSE courses. Additionally, they must have a total of no more than four unsuccessful attempts in engineering courses.
