Overview
Your study will be informed by our research in education and the latest developments in policy and practice, encompassing aspects of culture and identity, childhood and youth, gender and ethnicity, and social justice and inclusion. Core modules of the Education degree delivered by Cardiff University are aimed at developing a deep understanding of the social, historical, political, economic and developmental contexts of education – in Wales, the UK and internationally.
Key facts
Having a broad understanding of education provides you with an essential basis for challenging many of our common sense beliefs about education and society, enabling you to play a role in helping to transform and improve how we think about and practice education.
Career prospects
Cardiff University is committed to helping you achieve your professional ambitions, encouraging you to think about life beyond university from day one. The degree programmes offer modules and support to give you a competitive advantage on graduating.
Turning theory into practical application and providing experience of the working world are important aspects of all our degree schemes, which will help to prepare our graduates for life after higher education.
Career support is also offered to the students at every stage of study and after their graduation. Our dedicated careers advisors deliver a tailored range of careers events throughout the year.
The graduates have gone onto a range of careers in criminal justice, education and curriculum planning, research, policing, legal professions, social work and social care, administration and management.
