Description
The Vice-Chancellor's Undergraduate International Scholarship is available to overseas fee-paying students beginning an eligible undergraduate degree in September.
The scholarship is awarded automatically to eligible applicants and is applied as a tuition fee discount for the first year of study.
Benefits
£3,500 tuition fee discount (most eligible students).
£5,000 tuition fee discount for students domiciled in:
India
Kenya
Pakistan
Türkiye
United Arab Emirates
United States.
Eligibility
- Must be classified as an International (Overseas) student for tuition fee purposes.
- Must apply for an eligible undergraduate programme starting in September.
- Must submit the university application by 30 June.
- Must accept the offer by the UCAS deadline and make Cardiff University the firm choice.
- Must meet all offer conditions, including English language requirements, by 31 August.
- Must meet the University's original published admissions requirements.
- Programmes in Dentistry, Medicine, Healthcare, and Certificate/Diploma awards are not eligible.

There is no separate scholarship application. Eligible applicants who hold an offer for an eligible programme and meet all scholarship criteria are automatically awarded the scholarship upon enrolment.
30 June 2026 – University application deadline.
31 August 2026 – Deadline to meet all offer conditions, including English language requirements.
