Overview

Respiratory therapists work side by side with physicians, nurses and others on the healthcare team to treat patients from newborns to senior citizens. As part of the OneMSU Network, Great Falls College’ program is available to students in Great Falls, Billings, Bozeman, Kalispell and surrounding areas. Coursework is completed online and labs and clinicals are completed in-person at medical centers across Montana.

The Respiratory Therapy Program at Montana State University - Great Falls College is a two-year program designed to prepare graduates with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapists (RRTs).

Upon completion of the AAS degree in RT, graduates will be prepared to begin a career as a registered respiratory therapist (RRT). Graduates are eligible to take the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) entry level RT and specialty credential examinations.

The RT program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Respiratory CareProgram.
