Overview
Planners with undergraduate degrees often work in entry-level planning positions. Many planners with undergraduate degrees will go on to receive a master’s degree in planning. A degree from a PAB accredited university in planning is the most thorough educational preparation for the planning field. The Urban Planning program is offered by Alabama A&M University.
The program also offers students with an accelerated degree program, called the 4+1 program, that will enable academically qualified students to earn a bachelor's degree and thereafter a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning. These students can expect to graduate sooner than they would in traditional program settings.
