Course Details
We interact with organizations every day and in many ways—from where we work to the goods and services we purchase. In the Communication - Organizational Society, Branding, and Global Citizenship program at Walden University, you’ll gain insight into the levels, channels, types, and purposes of communications within an organization. You will learn how to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and build relationships that can facilitate your organization’s success.
We live in an organizational world, and participation in society and work requires ease maneuvering within, among, and between multiple organizations. This concentration provides insights on how to effectively communicate within the organizations that form the superstructure of our lives. Students in this program, will examine how to promote our common humanity within bureaucratic and organizational structures large and small, and how to effectively work within these structures in ways that contribute positively to our global existence. This concentration provides skills, tools, and an analytical framework so that you and your organization can be “here for good.”
During the program, you’ll explore the art of negotiation and persuasion as well as the role of communication in media and technology, crisis response, and social change. Additionally, you will earn to create and disseminate clear, effective communication on many levels of the organization and become a stronger, more articulate leader, while increasing your impact on organizational success.

With a BS in Communication concentration in Organizational Society, Branding, and Global Citizenship, you’ll build your leadership toolkit as well as your confidence. Learn to better connect with and influence audiences of all kinds—from decision-makers and employees to shareholders and customers.
