The Art and Archaeology, Art Education Concentration programme at Hood College graduates are not limited to the gallery or the studio: our training can prepare you to teach at the K-12 level and give the next generation an appreciation of art. Throughout our classes, we place particular emphasis on individual attention.

What You’ll Learn

Our program will provide you with tutorials and small studio classes, fostering close interaction with our accomplished faculty.
You will receive advanced training in traditional studio media, including design, drawing, painting, photography, ceramics and printmaking, accompanied by essential support courses in both digital media and art history.

International Application
Official Transcripts - We require official transcripts from each secondary (high school) and post-secondary (college or university) school that you have attended. International transcripts must be translated and evaluated (course-by-course) by a professional organization. Our preferred evaluator is World Education Services, but we will accept transcripts from any NACES evaluator.
Certification of Finances - If you will be applying for an F-1 student visa, you are required to submit proof of financial support for at least one year of tuition and living expenses, which is estimated to be approximately $45,000 USD, at the time of application.
Copy of passport - Please submit a photocopy of your passport photo page.
