Offered through the University of Mount Olive’s Robert L. Tillman School of Business, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Finance is offered 100% online for adult students. The program prepares students to analyze data and information related to money and finances, as well as evaluate investments and determine additional alternatives.

  • In addition to a fundamental understanding of Finance program at University of Mount Olive the core business principles, students will study financial accounting, marketing, macro- and microeconomics, business law, and financial management.

Students complete the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) certification as part of FIN 450. BMC Modules consist of the following topics:

  • Economic Indicators: The primacy of GDP, monitoring GDP, and forecasting GDP
  • Currencies: Currency market mechanics, currency valuation, central banks and currencies, currency risk
  • Fixed Income: The roots of the bond market, bond valuation drivers, central bankers and interest rates, the yield curve and why it matters, movements in the yield curve
  • Equities: Introducing the stock market, the nature of equities, equity research, absolute valuation, relative valuation
  • Getting Started on the Terminal: Using the terminal, analyzing the market, exploring the equity market, discovering the fixed income market, building an equity portfolio
