The BS in Interior Architecture and Master of Architecture Dual Program degree delivered at University of Tennessee Knoxville have three paths to provide greater opportunity for your career goals. In addition to the BSIA, we offer two additional degree options to prepare students for an accelerated master’s degree in either architecture or landscape architecture.

Admission to the college is based on the following criteria:

Three letters of recommendation.
An essay on intent and expectations of graduate study in architecture.
A portfolio communicating how you think spatially, creatively, and critically. Use your best judgement in preparing a concise portfolio demonstrating your readiness for graduate-level inquiry and self-directed creative practice. Students with design training should focus on a few projects of particular significance demonstrating the full range of your design thinking. Students from other disciplines should select a few examples of their creative efforts to date, which could stem from the visual or performing arts.
