Overview

Mercer University's Communication bachelor's program is a four-year undergraduate program that provides students with a comprehensive education in the theory and practice of communication. Students learn to analyze and critique communication in a variety of contexts, as well as to develop their own communication skills in areas such as public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication. The curriculum emphasizes the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative expression skills, preparing students for a range of careers in fields such as journalism, public relations, and marketing.

Participate in experiential-learning opportunities

Theory to Practice! Local to Global! In the B.A. Communication program, students work with real clients, simulating the role of professional consultant teams. Past experiential-learning projects have included employee communication and job satisfaction surveys, program evaluation, audience research for social media campaigns, school policies for social justice, and volunteer motivation research. Through internship opportunities, students are able to earn course credit.
