Overview
Why Rutgers?
The Industrial and Systems Engineering program of Rutgers University provides students with a broad engineering education along with specialization in a wide range of industrial engineering and manufacturing fields. We offer courses in work design and ergonomics, optimization, simulation modeling, probability, manufacturing processes, design of engineering systems, facilities layout, production planning and control, and quality engineering and statistics.
Students work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary project teams to find engineering solutions to real-world industry problems. Our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities emphasize robotics, machine vision, manufacturing, automated material handling, quality engineering, electronic and sensor devices, simulation, and computer information systems.
Rutgers offers a Five-Year BS/MBA Program designed to give students a solid business background that complements their engineering courses. We also offer a Five-Year Dual Degree Program that leads to a BS in Engineering and a BA in a liberal arts major.
Study abroad programs, specifically geared to engineering students, are available in many countries in Europe, South America, Asia and Australia.
These programs provide a rich educational experience that produce accomplished engineers and well-rounded individuals.Programme Structure
