The Archaeology degree at University of Southern California provides both academic breadth and field focus. An Archaeology major will acquire an overview of the history of the discipline, exposure to the various and evolving theoretical perspectives that inform archaeology, and hands-on experience with basic and contemporary field technologies.

Develop critical abilities through discussions, debates, and the evaluation of alternative perspectives on and interpretations of archaeological data.

Write and speak clearly and persuasively in communicating ideas about archaeology to various communities and audiences.
