Overview

This Computer Science (Dual Degree) from University of Miami is open only to currently enrolled Computer Science undergraduates. Students must complete the requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and the requirements for a 30 credit Master of Science in Computer Science with thesis. No credits may be counted towards both requirements.

Key facts

Students in the MS-phase must complete 3 further credits of CSC410 and/or CSC411 in a research-oriented project, as part of their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (this project will normally be the starting point for the Master of Science research). Students in the MS-phase may take up to 12 credits of courses that count towards completing the requirements for the Master of Science in Computer Science. When students have completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science they will be awarded that degree, and when they have completed the requirements for the Master of Science in Computer Science they will be awarded that degree.

Complete and submit the Common Application. Upon submitting, you will be asked to pay a $70 nonrefundable application fee.

If you have attended a secondary school outside of the United States, you must submit your official secondary school documents (transcripts, mark sheets, certificates, examination results, etc.)

We require you to submit two letters of recommendation: one from a high school guidance counselor and one from a teacher.
