Overview
The RN to BSN program of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston is a flexible, full or part time, affordable program that can be completed in as few as two semesters or as many as five semesters. The program contains 60 prerequisite hours, 31 nursing credit hours, and 29 advanced placement hours, which meets the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board degree requirements.

General requirements
- An associate’s degree or diploma in nursing.
- Active RN license or ability to secure a license in the first semester of enrollment.
- 2.75 GPA or higher in the required 60 hours of nursing prerequisites.
- 3.0 or higher in the required science prerequisites.
- Online application and non-refundable $60.00 application fee.
- Official transcript from all post-secondary institutions attended. Electronic submission is preferred. Information on how to send electronic transcripts is available online. Transcripts must be printed within six months of receipt.
- A course-by-course evaluation of international credentials by Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) for individuals with degrees/courses from outside the US.
