Think of yourself as a time traveler. (Of sorts.) A seer of worlds that would be and could be. But you don’t declare prophecies by gazing into a crystal ball. No, you do it... by running numbers. That’s how we like to think of it anyway. Because in finance, you rely upon numbers and data to forecast the future. Whether it’s on behalf of an individual or an organization, you help people find a path to success through the effective management of resources.
The Finance program of Concordia University Wisconsin isn’t all ones and zeroes, if that’s what you’re thinking. It’s actually a three-part curriculum that starts with a liberal arts core, moves on to lay a solid foundation in general business, and then offers specialized focus in finance. From accounting to economics and statistics, you’ll set the groundwork for a wide array of financial and business management topics. We’re talking the time value of money, interest rates, financial statements, capital allocation, stocks, bonds, derivatives, economic policy, international trade, foreign currency, regulation, and many others.
What to expect
At the end of this program, you will know the ins and outs of business commerce you can apply all around the world. You will learn all levels of finance such as corporate and international and fundamental financial management and valuation principles. When you join the workforce you’ll be confident in commercial banking, financial markets, and monetary and fiscal policy.
